Medical Receptionist-Administration

Job Description

Neurosleep & Pain Management Center is seeking Medical Receptionsist with at least 2 years experience (preferable with experience in Neurology).

Individual must have strong computer skills
Accurate note/medical chart documentation
Punctual and work fast pace
Quick learners
Ability to take on multiple tasks/flexible
Ability to work professionally with others
Support doctor and co-workers when asked
Work well with both colleagues and patients
Must have worked directly with a physician in a medical/clinical office for at least 2 years.
A physician recommendation/reference is required.

Medical, dental and vision benefits

Medical Receptionist duties include:

  • Answering telephones
  • Greeting patients
  • Updating and filing patient medical records
  • Coding and filling out insurance forms
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Provide directions, information, and any other assistance as/when needed.
  • Use computer system to generate information required for billing, update patient information, provide any necessary forms/documentation for completion, review forms, obtain any necessary signatures,
  • Collect co-pays, back balances, generate a receipt, post payments, balance money at end of day against charges.
  • Verify insurance
  • Maintain a neat and orderly waiting room/bathroom/examination rooms
  • Perform clerical duties such as copying, faxing, typing letters, forms, labels and mailings
  • Knowledgeable with EMR

Medical Assistant-Clinical

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree, Masters or Doctor of Physical Therapy from an accredited school of physical therapy.

Currently licensed by the State of Michigan

Current CPR certification

Minimum of 6-9 months clinical student experience as required for graduation as a full-time candidate.

 

Responsibilities:

Under supervision of the Dr Turk to provide direct physical therapy services.

Assesses, evaluates, plans, implements and leads comprehensive patient care for individual patient age specific needs by using an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient’s age specific needs and provide age specific treatment and care.

To provide quality physical therapy services to patients under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapist.

To Identify indications for evaluations and assist in the evaluation process under the direction of the Physical Therapist.

To Assist the Physical Therapist in identifying a target list, including short-term goals, long-term goals and treatment plan.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum of an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy

Successful passage of National Physical Therapy Assistants Examination (NPTAE)

Current PTA license or is license-eligible in the State of Michigan.
